Pigeons are unique living animals. That decides what is possible with a refund or a return, and what is not. Below you will find exactly how we handle it. This page belongs to our Terms and Conditions.
For an online purchase you normally have 14 calendar days to change your mind: the right of withdrawal. That cooling-off period does not apply to pigeons. They are living, unique animals that cannot simply be resold as new. The sale is therefore final as soon as you have paid. You confirm that at checkout, and it is laid down in article 11 A of our Terms and Conditions.
You cannot undo the purchase because you changed your mind or because the pigeon is not what you were looking for. This exclusion does not affect your statutory rights: if the pigeon you receive does not match the offer, you can cancel the sale. See below.
A refund is not the automatic answer to every complaint. We first look at whether an equivalent other pigeon is the solution; if there is none, or another arrangement fits better, we agree that together. A refund comes into play in any case when:
What exactly happens with a justified complaint is set out in our DOA and guarantee policy.
The agreement is only concluded when we receive your payment. As long as you have not paid, there is no sale and there are no costs. Your order disappears from your selection and the pigeon becomes available to other buyers again.
You cannot send a pigeon back like a parcel. Live animals are not shipped by post, and a return always has to be arranged with us in advance.
We look at every report within the period and the conditions of our DOA and guarantee policy. If the complaint is justified, we agree together what happens: a refund or another pigeon. In that case the pigeon stays with you until we have agreed on a solution.
We cannot accept a return that we did not approve, or a report that reaches us after the applicable period.
You arrange the transport of the pigeon yourself and you pay your courier directly. We cannot refund those costs: that agreement is between you and the courier.
Only when we consider the complaint justified — the pigeon does not match the offer — do we also bear the transport costs. That is laid down in articles 11 A and 14 of our Terms and Conditions.

Report it to us in writing — by e-mail or by registered letter. For a pigeon that arrives ill or dead: within 24 hours of arrival. For all other complaints: within two months of discovering the problem. That way we can establish the facts and the evidential value of photos and video is greatest.
